Water that comes naturally from a direct source is often filled with
iron, manganese, and other solid metals and minerals. Excess of iron in water
might lead to serious health issues but minimizing it might save us. A Ro controller filter system is the answer to iron removal from water in
households and industries. The safety standards for iron in drinking water are
0.3 ppm and 0.5 ppm for other minerals. Sometimes the normal filter removes
iron which is heavier but is unable to remove smaller ones that weigh less than
0.003 microns.
RO controller system
helps in the removal of many types of dissolved solids especially large
molecules from water by applying pressure to the solution. Industries have been
using RO controllers for removing excess iron and minerals.
Now let's how does an Industrial
RO system works to remove Iron and other minerals.
Iron is generally one of the Total Dissolved Solids present in water,
and RO does the exact job of removing it. But sometimes minerals are important
to the body and so RO lacks the property of retaining them, it instead cleanses
the water for making it safe for us to drink. The steps that a RO takes to
purify the water are as follows:
Step 1: Raw water enters the purifier and passes through a sediment
filter which is filled with activated carbon. This is heavy iron
particles removal filter and removes suspended particles.
Step 2: After step 1 the most important task of the filtration starts
i.e., removing total dissolved solids such as salts, chemicals, etc. Often it
removes some important salts which are beneficial to the health. There are two
passages in the Reverse Osmosis filter, one takes out the impurities and the
other sends the water to the UF membrane.
Step 3: A small amount of water from step 1 enters directly into step 3
and the TDS depleted water from step 2 enters step 3. The Ultra Filter membrane
removes bacteria and viruses in the water. It is done to retain the taste of
water.
Step 4: This is the Iron removal and Ultraviolet
treatment of the water. It is the cleanest water that comes out of the filter
and consumable to humans.
